Philippine National Police Chief Dir. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa posed with six grand finalists of ABS-CBN’s Gwapulis 2016 last Monday, October 17.

Of the six candidates who made it to the grand finals, Willy Quinto, police officer 1, was hailed as the best-looking cop in the whole of the Philippines. He was named the grand winner of Gwapulis 2016.

Quinto is considered the “Dancing Police of Valenzuela.” Among his prizes are a house and lot and one-year supply of groceries.

Following the footsteps of Quinto is PO1 Mark Christian Sioco who ended up first runner-up. PO1 Norman Wileman III, on the other hand, got the Best in Talent award.

The show aimed at promoting appreciation for law enforcers came after the network’s “Ang Probinsyano” became popular. Another reason is the victories of Neil Perez and Don Macgyver Cochico, who are also cops, in pageants.

Perez, Cochico and Chriz Dulagan were present during the grand finals of the Gwapulis 2016.

The judges of the said pageant were Miss Universe 2010 fourth runner-up Venus Raj, PNP officials, and “SOCO” host Gus Abelgas.
