Star Circle Batch 11 member and former teen actor John Wayne Sace is now recovering after he sustained gunshot wounds from a lone bullet that hit his waist.
Sace, who is 27 years old, is now out of danger, as announced by her sister Queen through a Facebook status. She said, “Opposite from what was in the news or in the social media, my brod had undergone series of test(s) and now in a stable vitality.”
According to an ABS-CBN report, Sace was with his friend, Erik Sabino, when two gunmen abode a motorcycle shot them in Pasig City last Monday, around 11:10 PM.
Initial reports state that the two individuals were waiting for another person when the two gunmen, who are yet unidentified, repeatedly fired at them.
The friends were along Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue when the shooting took place. The suspects immediately fled the scene while Sace and his friend were rushed to Rizal Medical Center.
While Sace survived the gunshot wound, Sabino unfortunately did not. Sabino was declared dead on arrival after receiving multiple gun shots.
Pasig City police chief, Orlando Yebra, Jr., also revealed that both Sace and Sabino are included in the city’s drug watch list. They were allegedly peddling illegal drugs.
Both Sace and Sabino Are residents of Feliciano Street, Sagad.
Sace, born in 1989, was a talent of ABS-CBN, under Star Circle. He was part of ASAP’s dance group Anime, together with Rayver Cruz, Oliver Aquino, Rodjun Cruz, Mico Aytona, Sergio Garcia, and Emman Abeleda.
Among his movies and films included Dekada 70, Kutob, Spirits, and Beauty and the Bestie, among others. He also appeared in different episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya. He also was awarded the Best Child Performer by Metro Manila Film Festival in the year 2002.
He appeared on TV5’s game show in 2015.
