Senate President Aquilino “Kiko” Pimentel III claimed that there is nothing to show to the members of the House of Representatives as the alleged sex video of Senator Leila de Lima is nonexistent.
“Actually, I believe that there is no video. There is no actual video,” Pimentel said. He also claimed that there are individuals who have shown him a video. However, the said video does not involved any member of the Senate. “It’s a video, it’s a sex video but it does not involve any member of the Senate so there’s no video,” he added.
Pimentel also disclosed that Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez has also mentioned to him that no such video should be shown in the next hearing, which happened today.
Pimentel also ordered his partymates who are members of the House to oppose the showing of the video in question if ever the matter is raised up and put to a vote. Pimentel is the president of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).
“I made a party directive to the partymates in the House, should it be put to a vote, they should vote against the showing of the video,” he said.
On this note, there indeed was no video shown during today’s hearing.
De Lima, on the other hand, has denied that she has appeared in a sex video. During the hearing today, she said that she has not seen the video and has refused to watch it as it is “nonsense.”
It can be recalled that Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II has offered to show three sex videos allegedly involving De Lima in today’s hearing. However, he added that he himself has no copy of the said videos.
Also in today’s hearing, the ex-aide of De Lima testified against her and claimed that De Lima indeed has an extraordinary relationship with former driver Ronnie Dayan.
