Brad Pitt, George Clooney and their pals’ remake of Ocean’s Eleven is regarded as having one of the coolest casts of all time. But from the looks of things, another Ocean’s eleven movie is on the brew and what’s surprisingly awesome is that it’s going to be an all female cast. Gaze upon your vision board, friends, the one that has the likes of Mindy Kaling, and Anne Hathaway, and Rihanna, and Sandra Bullock on it and think to yourself, “Omg, wouldn’t it be awesome if these ladies starred in a movie together? But that movie might be too good and pure for this world, so it’ll probably never happen. Bummer.”
WELL, GOOD NEWS. This exact scenario is happening, because Mindy Kaling, Anne Hathaway, and Rihanna, along with Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, and YouTube star Awkwafina are all joining Sandra Bullock’s all-female Ocean’s 11 reboot. Right now, it’s got the working title of “Ocean’s Ocho,” so a few shy from 11, but we’ll take it.
Sandra Bullock is to lead a new Ocean’s Eleven film which will reimagine the conman caper as an all-female affair, in the latest example of Hollywood’s current penchant for gender-swapped projects
Somehow, this not-quite-so-tightly kept secret has not properly broken until now, but traces of it have been on the Internet for a few months.
